We started off with a tonal drawing of a bird in a tree and followed through to a landscape with trees, shrubs and a figure fishing with a dog.

Some of the students as they had not done portraits or life drawing we covered the subject once more, as portraiture and life drawing are an important aspect in learning how to create art.

Teenage Art Class.
Portraits and life drawing are very important as it is 30% of the Leaving Certificate Curriculum and if the students want to achieve high marks in their overall exam the figure needs to be included in the imaginative comp as well. This is probably one of the hardest areas in the art curriculum so it is one of the areas that we are constantly working on. Here are some images from the Teenage Art Class.
