Texaco Children’s Art Competition 2020
Congratulations to all the great entries for the Texaco Children’s Art competition. This term was taken up with creating Texaco submissions so a lot of portraits were completed with the younger children creating drawings and paintings of animals and also portraits of themselves. The following are the submissions.
Category A – 16 to 18 years of Age
Category B – 14 to 15 years of Age
Category C – 12 to 13 years of age
Category D – 9 to 11 years of Age
Category E – 7 to 8 years
Category F – 6 years and younger
Category G – Special Needs
Children’s Art Class
A selection of work was completed this term, all paintings of animals and some portraits. For these paintings the children had to draw the animals freehand first and then paint then, using different techniques of painting application.
Teenager Class
All of the teenagers were working on their Texaco submissions.
Adult class
We did a lot of experimenting in the adult class this term, using pouring acrylics as a medium, using the sea as the theme.
The adults also painted sea scapes and still life flowers.
